  • The Who

Online banking cardholders who regularly access their checking accounts online.

  • The What

Our client was in the process of redesigning their online checking navigation system in order to improve user experience.

  • The Why

In order to guarantee that the new information architecture would provide a better experience for users, the client wanted to test and compare it to their current navigation system.

  • My Role

UX researcher in a team of two

  • My Responsibilities

Developed participant screener, wrote tasks for tree test, set up comparative tree test, monitored tree test, analyzed data, created slide deck and presented final report to client stakeholders.

  • Project Duration

    January 2024 to March 2024

The Process

We began with clarifying client goals and recruiting participants who matched our screened criteria. We then created tasks and set up a comparative tree test. After monitoring submissions and ensuring we had accurate data, we analyzed the results from the current tree and proposed tree information architectures.

The Impact

Based on our findings from each tree, we were able to offer the client clear and actionable recommendations to improve their banking navigation system for their online users.
